Race to #1
How long to reach the top?
Pick a player and a scenario. We use the real point tables, the tournaments left this year, and when each player's points expire — then show honest ranges, not one fake-precise answer.

Tiers the player enters
Which tournament categories they actually play. Top players usually skip the smaller CUPRA FIP events — ticking more tiers means more chances to earn points.
iWhat we assumed
We use the real point tables, the tournaments left this year, and when each player's points expire. Nothing here is a prediction — real results, injuries and new pairings can change everything.
Methodology & assumptions
- Data: padelfip.com rankings, calendar and public player points breakdowns (snapshot date shown above). Unofficial; not affiliated with FIP.
- Ruleset: season-versioned point tables (best 22 results, 52-week rolling window; Major/Finals points defended at the next edition). The version used is shown above.
- Reaching #1 is approximated by projecting the challenger against the current top 5. The fastest/likely/slowest range varies what those rivals do: earn nothing, defend last year's points, or defend everything and win everything else (a hard ceiling, not an achievable season). Beating every player on tour is NOT fully modeled.
- Head-to-head consistency: at events the challenger is assumed to win, rivals' results are capped at runner-up. Rivals are still projected independently of each other (they can't all win the same event in reality, so 'win everything' remains a strict ceiling).
- Next season's calendar is assumed to mirror this season's when official dates don't exist yet.
- Entry and seeding are not modeled: in reality a low-ranked player cannot enter a Major main draw immediately.
- Pairs matter for entries and seeding but ranking points are earned individually. Partnerships are NOT modeled: if the challenger currently plays with a top-5 rival (per official entry lists), real results would move both together — the page flags that case with a notice.
- This is a projection of arithmetic, not a prediction of results.
