At PadelExplained, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website.

Data collection

PadelExplained does not require an account and does not ask you for any personal information to use the site. You can access all available features without signing up or providing any personal details. We do not sell or rent any information, and we share it only with the service providers described below, who handle it on our behalf.

Cookies and local storage

PadelExplained does not use cookies.

If you choose a language with the language switcher, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage (under the name "pe.locale") so the site opens in your language next time. If you turn off page-view counting (see below), that choice is saved there too (under the name "goatcounter-opt-out"). Both are used only for that, never leave your device, and you can remove them by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Usage statistics

To know which pages are used, we count page views with GoatCounter (goatcounter.com), an open-source web analytics service. It uses no cookies, does not track you across websites, builds no profiles and is not used for advertising.

When you open a page, including when you move from one page to another on the site, your browser fetches a tiny image from GoatCounter. The request contains only the path of the page (for example "/en/rankings/") and a short random code that only stops your browser from reusing a stored copy of the image. It does not contain the page you came from, the page title, your screen size, your language or anything else read from your device.

Like every request on the web, it also carries your IP address and your browser's identification (its user-agent string). GoatCounter uses the IP address only to find the country and the user-agent only to filter out bots, and does not store either of them.

What we see is the number of page views per page and day, and per country. We do not track sessions or count unique or returning visitors: each page view is counted on its own, and you are not recognised from one page view to the next. The statistics are not combined with any other data.

Before 2026-10-15, these statistics were produced from our own server logs at our hosting provider instead, and only as counts.

Opting out

You can stop your visits from being counted in this browser with the button below. Any tracker blocker that blocks GoatCounter works too.

How long we keep it

The page-view counts contain no information about individual visitors, and we keep them, including the daily totals from before 2026-10-15, without a time limit. Our former request logs are no longer written; any still left are deleted automatically about 30 days after they were written.

Legal basis and your rights

We count page views on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are used so we can maintain and improve the site (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). You can object to this at any time, by opting out as described above or by contacting us. You also have the right to request access to, correction or erasure of personal data about you, and to restrict its processing. The statistics cannot be linked to you, so we hold nothing that can be connected to you. You can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Third-party services and data sources

PadelExplained uses publicly available data from padelfip.com to provide ranking information, calculations, and simulations. PadelExplained is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by FIP.

PadelExplained is hosted and delivered by Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront). Like any web host, AWS processes standard technical request data, including your IP address, to deliver and secure the site. AWS is a US company; where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, this is covered by AWS's data processing terms (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses). Page views are counted by GoatCounter, as described above.
